Giclée - What is it?

Giclée (pronounced Jee Clay) is a French word meaning to "squirt or spray". This goes some way to explaining the fact that the Giclée printing method is a very high resolution inkjet process whereby the ink is sprayed directly onto the paper or canvas.

The inks are tested and approved for light fastness by the Fine Art Trade Guild. The papers are beautiful mould made heavyweight watercolour stocks and the canvas is 100% cotton giving the prints the look and feel of original artwork.

The growth of Giclée printing has been phenomenal over the past two years. All the major publishers and artists now produce Giclée editions as their preferred method.

Our Giclée Limited Editions distinguish themselves from normal Litho poster prints by faithfully reproducing subtle watercolour washes to bright vivid abstract colours and everything in between.
